FunDza publishes illustrated magazine-type anthologies with stories, plays poems and short stories aimed at teens and young adults. There are short suggested learning activities for readers based on the texts, and a double-page spread at the back with session plans on how to use the funzine in reading clubs.

These are free to download and copy for educational purposes, provided they are not resold or adapted in any way.

Pedal Forward
This funzine is a collection of material (stories, plays, poems, articles, etc) on a range of themes including online dating and catfishing, issues around identity and belonging, gangs, death, what it means to be ‘home’. It contains some easy and inspiring creative writing activities too. Aimed at age 13 upwards.

Turning the tide
This funzine is a collection of material (stories, plays, poems, articles etc) that explores issues around gender, violence and identity as experienced by young South Africans today. The material is thought-provoking and challenging, and, if the publication is used in groups, needs to be handled sensitively. Aimed at age 15 upwards.
