Meet Andiswa Mqaba, FunDza’s new Fanz administator! Andiswa (who likes to be called Andi) has joined the team to oversee the Fanz editing staff and interns, ensure that our Fanz writing submissions travel efficiently through the system, and make sure that all internally written content is ready for publication on fundza.mobi timeously. Let’s find out a little more about Andi…

Tell us more about your background?
My name is Andiswa Mqaba. I was born is Section 4 Gugulethu and I matriculated from Sans Souci Girls High School. I am a mother to my daughter, Lisanda who is my greatest life teacher and blessing. My motto in life is taken from Henry Ford, who said: “Whether you think you can, whether you think you can’t, either way you are right.”
I am passionate about inspiring, empowering and educating others and that is why I am here at FunDza. I worked for a few years as a Learning and Development facilitator and have solid experience in customer service. I have also studied Mathematical Technology with Business as my major at CPUT at the Bellville Campus.
Something more fun: what do you do for fun, something we don’t know about you?
I enjoy being outdoors doing things like swimming at the beach, going on picnics, hiking and wine tasting. I believe I am a spiritual being on a physical journey and so I read a lot of books from spiritual teachers like Abraham Hicks, Eckhart Tolle, Napolian Hill, Neale Donald Walsch and Paulo Coelho to name a few. What you might not know about me is that I am a traditional healer (Sangoma).
What is your experience with reading and writing?
I am passionate about reading. I haven’t written anything that has been published yet. That is about to change very soon at FunDza!
How did you find out about FunDza?
I found out about FunDza from a friend who had recommended I submit my work in order to develop my writing. I have been with FunDza for a few weeks now and I love the energy in this place. This place feels like home. I love the people and mostly the fact that my job doesn’t feel like one. I appreciate the experience and opportunity to develop writers and myself every single day.

Andi seems to be at the right place at the right time. I am looking forward to meeting your writing soon. There is nothing better than doing what you love most and getting paid for it.
Consider yourself Blessed. I think uu will only add VALUE to the fundDza team. I would like to meet all of you.
