Today, 6 April 2017, we celebrate our sixth birthday! What a fun-filled, hardworking half-a-dozen years it has been. Thank you to our many friends, beneficiaries, partners and supporters. We could not have got this far without all of you being on this journey with us!
Being a literacy trust and loving all things literary and poetic, we decided to celebrate our birthday with a little bit of inspiration from the brilliant A. A. Milne and his Now We Are Six poem. So, in celebration of our ‘crown’ birthday here it is!
Now FunDza is SIX!
When we were one,
FunDza had just begun.
When we were two,
We were learning, but new.
When we were three,
We buzzed with activity.
When we were four,
We grew even more.
When we were five,
FunDza offices were ALIVE!
Now we are six, as passionate as ever,
But we don’t think we’ll stay six forever and ever!

And, here is the A. A. Milne original:
When I was one,
I had just begun.
When I was two,
I was nearly new.
When I was three,
I was hardly me.
When I was four,
I was not much more.
When I was five,
I was just alive.
But now I am six, I’m as clever as clever
So I think I’ll be six, now and forever.
