1 March: Dorothy does YEBO training in Gugulethu.
8-9 March: Mignon is in Johannesburg for the final module of Tsiba’s Financial Sustainability course.
10 March: Sonja hosts Reading for Enjoyment sessions at False Bay College, Fish Hoek.
13-20 March: Dorothy attends the London Book Fair as the representative for Cover2Cover Books, FunDza’s founder and publishing partner. She also will use the opportunity to meet with the National Book Trust, a UK charity that – similarly to FunDza in South Africa – is growing a culture of reading amongst UK youth.
12-17 March: Sonja ventures up the Garden Route to run reading for enjoyment workshops with learners in and around Knysna as part of the Knysna Literary Festival outreach programme.
15 March: Nandi attends the Transnet Youth Empowerment Programme Launch/Exhibition.
20-24 March: Mignon attends UNESCO’s Mobile Learning Week in Paris, and presents for FunDza on Tuesday, 21 March.
22 March: Zimkhitha attends Library Week at Masiphumelele Library.
23 March: Nandi and Veronica run two reading promotion events, the first with Cape College and the second as Wesfleur Library in Atlantis.
24 March: Sonja hosts another day’s worth of Reading for Enjoyment sessions at False Bay College, Fish Hoek.
25 March: Nandi attends the FUNda Leader imbizo with Nal’ibali in Khayelitsha.
27-28 March: Dorothy presents at PRAESA’s Children’s Literacy, Literature and Multilingual Storybook Seminar.
31 March: Mignon joins The Learning Trust’s Director’s Circle to discuss ‘growing pains in the NGO sector’.
