12 April: Dorothy heads off to Greyton to speak to the University of the Third Age (U3A) group about FunDza.

21 April: Nandi and Ndibulele host a ‘Writing a good essay’ workshop with Ikusasa Lelethu.

23 April: World Book Day – FunDza celebrates through social media.

24 April: Dorothy is interviewed on CAPS Radio about FunDza’s work to improve the literacy levels of young South Africans.

25 April: Andiswa attends the After School Community of Practice session, “Creating an organisational environment that supports and nourishes staff and learner wellness”.

25 April: Dorothy pays a visit to the Year Beyond school, Intshukumo High School, to see how students and volunteers are progressing with the FunDza programme.

25 April: Mignon attends the Working Group meeting on Constitutional and Human Rights Education in Johannesburg.

26 April: Mignon speaks at the Southern Africa Trust’s Philanthropy Dialogue in Kyalami, Johannesburg.

29 April: Mignon moderates a session at FanCon, at the CTICC, with the fantastic creators of the Kwezi superhero comic series (Loyiso Mkize, Clyde Beech and Mohale Mashigo). These beautifully crafted comic books are taking SA by storm… find them at your favourite bookshop or comic shop nationwide!

30 April: Yes, the FunDza team is taking a looooong weekend so the office is closed on Monday, 30 April.
