A very dear friend of FunDza’s – Yasmin Omar-Meer – arranged a fundraising event to support FunDza’s work.
She invited friends and their children to share a creative spring morning in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, with the proceeds of the fundraiser donated to FunDza. The kids were throughly engrossed in their shared creative efforts, games and general fun. All done with such grace and care.
A real example of the Australian “mateship” and the African “ubuntu”.
We SO appreciate their enthusiastic and generous giving. In total they raised around R10 000! Giving like this, not only supports us financially, but also adds to our motivation and energy to do this important work. The donation goes a long way to support us as we get teens and young adults reading and writing.
Enjoy some of their pics here!
