Last year’s Moving Up with the Majolas competition was so successful that this year we had a re-run! So on 9 April 2020, FunDza relaunched the ‘Moving Up with the Majolas’ course competition, in partnership with the Momentum Metropolitan Foundation.
Through the course competition, participants were introduced to the Majola family that was facing a range of difficult financial decisions. Each story chapter was followed by an info section that gave the participants some insight into financial literacy. The story and competition were hugely popular, and people participating in the course competition commented on how they had learned valuable skills and how it had helped them in their lives.
In order to have submitted a valid entry, participants needed to have completed all aspects of the course (read all 10 chapters and 10 info sections, answered all 10 surveys and quizzes)
According to the competition rules, the winner of the competition would be the top-performing participant, who would receive a smartphone. The next top 10 performers would each receive a book pack.
When we analysed the results, there were TEN participants who had each scored 100% and had completed all the necessary entrant requirements. So, thanks to the generosity of Metropolitan, all TEN winners will be walking away with a Huawei Y5 smartphone! The next nine runners-up (all of whom scored 98%) will receive a book pack prize.
